This summer I've been listening to a lot of latin music. A lot of songs sing about the mambo. Listening to these happy mambo songs I came up with this swinging Red Mambo cocktail. It has coconut rum, pineapple juice and fresh raspberries in the recipe. The sweetness in the rum makes it a very smooth tasting Red Mambo.

What do you need for a Red Mambo?

Coconut rum (1,5 part)
Pineapple juice (1,5 part)
Raspberries (5 pieces)
Lime (juice of half a lime)

1 part = 30 ml

How do you make a Red Mambo?

We are going to prepare the Red Mambo in a boston shaker. This is a shaker existing of two part. It looks like two glasses fitting on top of each other. One part is usually made of glass and the other part of tin steel. Put 4 of the raspberries into the shaker and start muddling. Add ice cubes and then add the rum, pineapple juice and fresh lime juice to the shaker. Give it a good shake for about 5 to 8 second and pour out the cocktail with a strainer into a tmbler glass filled with crushed ice. For garnish we are going to use the last raspberry. Enjoy!
